Industry Research Analyst (Korean) at HSBC, Guangzhou, China. Full-time, associate/junior level, financial services. Principal responsibilities: work closely with analysts in Hong Kong and South Korea; create, maintain and update financial models with guidance; conduct fundamental and financial analysis on industries and individual companies; contribute to research reports with onshore counterpart guidance; maintain and update various databases; track and analyse regulatory changes impacting coverage; monitor news and events to brief global teams; handle client requests independently, timely and accurately; support global products as needed; respond efficiently to ad-hoc requests. Skill set: Mandarin and Korean language capability; competitive written and spoken English; valuation methodologies, financial metrics and modelling expertise; strong written and oral presentation abilities. Qualifications: postgraduate degree in Finance or MBA or equivalent from a reputable university; CPA/CFA charter holders or candidates preferred. Experience: minimum 1-2 years in a related financial services field; understanding of financial markets and asset classes is mandatory.
