Bilingual Interpreter

TransPerfect Connect is hiring highly fluent bilingual speakers as Over-the-Phone (OPI) and Video Remote (VRI) Interpreters supporting healthcare, legal and financial services clients. Korean-English is named among the language pairs currently being hired, alongside Mandarin-English, Cantonese-English, Arabic-English and Russian-English. New interpreters receive four weeks of paid training covering interpretation techniques, note-taking and emotional control. Day-to-day work involves consecutive interpretation on continuous back-to-back calls, ensuring accuracy and neutrality, maintaining strict confidentiality, and taking part in ongoing coaching and quality feedback. Requirements include a high school diploma, B2 or higher proficiency in both languages of the pair, at least six months of call center, customer service or interpreting experience, strong verbal communication, and a professional, responsible attitude. Because the position is home-based, applicants need a quiet distraction-free workspace, a stable broadband connection of at least 30 Mbps, a desktop or laptop with 16GB RAM, a functioning webcam, and Windows 10 or later or macOS Big Sur or later. Medical, legal or community interpreting certification is a plus. Schedules are structured but variable, and a pre-employment background check is required.
