BSI Japan is hiring a Business Development Manager, Product Certification covering Japan & Korea, based in Yokohama (office, field, or home-based; Korea field/home-based), reporting to the Regional Product Certification Commercial Director. Purpose: sell BSI Product Certification and Testing services to clients in electrical/electronic components, electronic appliances, gas appliances, PPE, fire protection products, and IoT/sustainability sectors; identify and manage sales opportunities, build client relationships, and position BSI as the preferred certification provider for product export. Key responsibilities: network with existing customers and generate new business, pursue prospects via targeted contacts, trade shows, and client visits to meet sales targets, coordinate with global BSI delivery teams, produce accurate sales forecasts and activity reports, maintain knowledge of certification processes and regulations, analyze competitor strategies. Required: background in Testing/Inspection/Certification or technical roles in electrical/electronic/gas industries, proven B2B new sales track record, fluent Japanese and English (written/verbal), excellent sales and negotiation skills. Korean language skills would be an added benefit. Travel 50%+ of working time, predominantly national. Visa sponsorship not available.
