Localization Project Manager – Korean Speaker at TransPerfect Connect, Nishi-Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. Entry-level full-time role managing localization projects with Korean language proficiency. Fixed-term contract for year one (including 6-month probation), with potential conversion to permanent position from year two. Responsibilities: manage project lifecycle (job placement, budget allocation, vendor identification, negotiation), create and issue purchase orders, conduct final quality checks, resolve billing/invoice discrepancies and data entry, schedule project timelines, maintain cost and project tracking spreadsheets, establish and manage vendor relationships, recruit and train linguistic teams, administer Translation Memory and Glossary, create reference materials, format files (.doc, .pdf, .xls), client communication and meetings, analyze client feedback and implement corrective/preventive actions, support compliance investigations and escalation, identify and communicate project risks, train project assistants and coordinators, coordinate with Machine Translation teams. Required: excellent verbal and written communication in Korean and English, strong relationship-building, problem-solving and critical thinking, flexibility, interpersonal and multitasking skills, organizational and prioritization skills, professional conduct under pressure, time management and stakeholder coordination, independent work style, bachelor's degree or equivalent, ideally one year as Project Coordinator. Compensation: ¥4.0M–¥4.2M annual plus performance bonus (from year 2), full social insurance, transport allowance up to ¥30,000/month, paid leave, annual health check-up. Hours: Mon–Fri, 8 hours between 9:00–19:00. Location: Nishi-Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan; work visa support available.
