Senior Buyer to Assistant Sourcing Manager | L'Oréal | Shanghai | Full-time Key Job Accountabilities: - Manage multiple categories of cosmetic packaging components and contract manufacturing in North Asia Pacific region (based in Shanghai) - Drive product and contract manufacturing sourcing for new launches; ensure timely delivery with appropriate cost and quality standards - Initiate and execute cost-saving projects collaborating across departments; monitor and optimize purchasing prices - Participate in global synergy initiatives within zone and with sourcing teams in Europe and USA - Establish budgets, monitor trends, and control price variance - Execute end-to-end value chain optimization with commercial and technical interventions - Manage all commercial aspects including purchasing assessment, negotiations, contracts, and supplier relationship development - Lead virtual cross-functional teams to enhance supplier performance across five pillars: quality, supply chain, CSR, competitiveness, and innovation - Conduct risk assessments and anticipate crises to secure business through proactive stakeholder engagement Technical & Professional Competencies Required: - Minimum 5+ years sourcing/purchasing experience in relevant industries at recognized companies; cosmetics packaging and contract manufacturing experience preferred - Bachelor's degree; preferred fields: Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or Economics - Strategic perspective, strong team player with excellent influencing and interpersonal communication skills in English; Korean speaking is a plus - Self-motivated professional approach; capable of managing complexity - Results-driven mindset; adaptable to diverse working conditions
