Remote Medical/Healthcare Korean - English Interpreter

📅 Start Date: 9 November 2026 (Immediate Joiners Preferred)

💼 Position: English–Korean Interpreter
🏠 Work Location: 100% Work From Home
📄 Contract: 12 months, renewable based on performance
⏰ Working Schedule: 5 days per week, rotational night shifts. Candidates must be available to work 7–8 hours per shift according to the schedule assigned by the Operations team. Fixed shifts cannot be selected.
💰 Hourly Rate: RM35/hour + KPI bonuses of up to RM3,600 per year
🌏 Nationality: Open to all nationalities. Candidates based in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, or the Philippines are preferred.

📞 Key Responsibilities
- Provide real-time English ↔ Korean interpretation via phone (OPI) and/or video (VRI).
- Interpret conversations related to healthcare, education, insurance, banking, and emergency services.
- Deliver accurate, impartial, and professional interpretation in the first person.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and neutrality.
- Adhere to company policies and client quality standards.

⚠️ Important Consideration
Calls may involve sensitive or distressing situations, including medical emergencies, 911 calls, accidents, abuse, suicide-related situations, insurance claims, and banking matters. Candidates must be able to remain calm, focused, and professional when handling challenging conversations.

✅ Requirements
- Native or near-native proficiency in both English and Korean.
- C2-level English and TOPIK Level 6 in Korean are preferred.
- Prior 2 Years of English–Korean medical/healthcare interpreting experience is mandatory. Candidates without relevant experience will not be considered.
- Must hold valid HIPAA and FWA certificates.
- Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Good understanding of cultural differences.
- A quiet, dedicated home working environment.
- Stable internet connection, a computer, and a USB headset with a microphone.

🌏 Preferred Backgrounds
Non-Korean applicants with work, study, or living experience in Korea.
Korean applicants with overseas or international experience.
🎓 Education: High school, diploma, or bachelor’s degree.
