Thái Bình Dương University is recruiting a Head of the Korean Language Department (Trưởng Bộ môn Tiếng Hàn), one position, full-time, based in Trần Văn Thời, Ca Mau, Vietnam. Job responsibilities: organize, manage and direct all professional activities, training and scientific research operations of the department; develop teaching and learning plans and ensure education quality for the programs under the department; lead the compilation and updating of curricula, syllabi and teaching materials; manage, assign tasks to and evaluate lecturers and staff while supporting their professional development; oversee student academic performance, conduct and scientific research support; efficiently manage and use assigned facilities and equipment; coordinate with internal and external units to implement training, research and business partnerships; advise the Faculty Head on department development and new program launches; and perform other duties assigned by the Faculty Head. Required competencies: experience in teaching, research or professional management in higher education; leadership, management, organization and execution capabilities; strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills; and proficiency in office software and AI applications. Required qualifications: a Ph.D. or Master's degree, or current doctoral study, in Korean Language, Korean Pedagogy, Korean Interpretation and Translation, Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language or a related field. Additional requirements: a dynamic and collaborative personality, a high sense of responsibility and strict adherence to teaching schedules and plans.
