Mission:
Lead all sales activities for Melia Vinpearl Hotels with strategic focus on Korean market development. Achieve revenue and profit targets while building loyal customer base in accordance with cluster Director of Sales guidelines. Ensure sales teams understand departmental priorities, maintain current accounts, and establish new client contacts. Provide proper orientation to new team members on brand strategy, positioning, and service offerings. Train staff in face-to-face selling skills and drive upselling/cross-selling opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educate and promote Melia Vinpearl products to B2B travel partners to increase sales and brand recognition
- Conduct training and visits to tour operator reservation desks and sales staff to meet production targets
- Maintain relationships with top travel agents through regular trainings, visits, and webinars
- Organize educational seminars with tour operator partners for travel agent community
- Meet and educate key leisure and MICE travel agents
- Represent hotel brand at major industry tradeshows and events aligned with annual sales and marketing action plans
- Partner with key airlines for crew business opportunities
- Participate with travel industry partners (tour operators, airlines, corporates, tourism boards) to maximize performance
- Maintain periodic meetings with travel partners; encourage direct bookings to improve average daily rate (ADR)
- Support travel partners via sales calls, promotional blitzes, and seminars
- Ensure travel partners have necessary sales collateral and marketing materials
- Oversee commission processing per contract terms
- Organize promotional activities and periodic regional sales blitzes
- Maintain strong communication with Senior Business Development Director APAC
- Develop key account management strategy; identify, train, and maintain key accounts in territory
- Explore account needs and adapt sales strategies accordingly
- Execute sales actions outlined in marketing agreements with tour operators
- Plan educational seminars and presentations for key accounts
- Create initiatives for new properties in Melia Vinpearl portfolio
- Develop new account strategies and business opportunities
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis; project trends
- Evaluate market development in assigned areas
- Monitor competitor promotions and updates; provide feedback on effective partner strategies
- Promote and enroll accounts in MeliaPRO loyalty program; provide training on program benefits
- Monitor membership usage and create activities to drive engagement
- Organize joint familiarization trips and special trainings for corporate, leisure, and MICE clients
- Integrate client promotions with Meliá global campaigns to drive revenue
Main Requirements:
- University degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Fluent written and spoken Korean and English
- Strong knowledge of local businesses and market trends
- Strong negotiation skills
- Minimum 2 years' experience in similar sales position with proven track record
