Position: Ocean Freight Operator (Korean Speaking) Company: EURISE K Location: Vietnam 1. OVERVIEW We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Ocean Freight Operator to join our growing logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing end-to-end ocean freight operations, ensuring smooth shipment execution, accurate documentation, and compliance with international shipping regulations. 2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Shipment Coordination: Manage end-to-end ocean freight operations including booking, container planning, documentation, customs coordination, and shipment tracking - Carrier & Agent Liaison: Work closely with shipping lines, NVOCCs, overseas agents, and vendors to secure space, equipment, and competitive rates - Customer Service: Maintain clear and professional communication with customers regarding shipment status, ETD/ETA updates, and any operational issues - Documentation: Prepare, check, and issue shipping documents such as Bills of Lading (MBL/HBL), commercial invoices, packing lists, and other required certificates - Compliance: Ensure all shipments comply with international maritime regulations, Incoterms, and company SOPs - Problem Solving: Proactively handle delays, rollovers, demurrage/detention risks, and documentation discrepancies, providing timely solutions - System Management: Accurately input and update shipment details in internal systems and ensure complete records until final delivery 3. QUALIFICATIONS - Fluent in Korean (mandatory) - Good command of English: written and verbal (preferred) - 1-3 years of experience in ocean freight operations or freight forwarding (preferred) - Solid understanding of ocean freight processes, containerized shipping, and international trade practices - Knowledge of Bills of Lading (MBL, HBL), shipping instructions, and basic customs documentation - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously - Proficient in logistics systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) 4.
